This is a picture of us from two summers ago on a night off. After a delightful dinner aboard the boat, we ended up running aground in 2ft waters because the auto pilot had malfunctioned. Not only was it 10pm but, the barrier island that we were near had two shark attacks the week before. It was hilariously terrifying and I'm glad I got to share this memory with such great people!
A 20ft boat on a sea trial attempted to tow our 72ft schooner from its nest in the sand and waves. After about half an hour of failed attempts, the captain called into sea tow for help. Because we didn't want to appear to be rouge sailors, everyone aboard the boat got to put on wonderful orange life jackets. Here is a picture of some of us in the cabin on the ship.

Eventually the sea trial boat was able to pull us off shore and we were able to make it back to port. It was a very good story that we love reminiscing about. I know tonight is going to be a lot of fun and hopefully we will all make good decisions with our lives and not cause too much trouble!! I will let you know what happens...
